JOE BUDDENS + THE GAME= THE FUTURE

THIS IS HIP HOP AT ITS GREATIEST FORM. THE REASON WHY I SAY THAT HAS TO DO WITH HOW TWO FORMER FOES CAN PUT THEIR DIFFERENCES ASIDE AND PUT THEIR MINDS TOGETHER TO CREATE GOOD MUSIC AS A WHOLE. THIS IS HIP HOP AND ITS ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER FROM HERE.............

Ron Hunter of Movement Marketing/Koch Records (Interview)

MNyc718: What is Movement Marketing?

Hunter: Movement Marketing is a boutique Marketing and lifestyle promotions company.

MMNyc718:Who who or what motivated you to start Movement Marketing?

Hunter: i didn't start Movement Marketing; I came into the situation. when I joined the company was already up and running. I was hired to do a project independently for MOBB DEEP and they liked what I did so I was asked to join.

MMNyc718:What would be the first thing people should now about you as a business man?

Hunter: As a business man, everyday is a different. it can be from creating business proposals, doing promo tours, speaking to deejays about records. meeting with KOCH about the street teams, or strategizing with the clients i represent. It could be going out to clubs, hosting tables or just experiencing nighlife, meeting promoters, and dj's.Seeing what is working in the clubs. As a business man you have to do more than one thing at a time. i started a marketing & promotion company that will focus in the areas of mobile, field, entertainment, youth retail, amd premise marketing. I'm currently managing a dj/model from 106&park, a plud size model, and also co-manage a pro boxer.

MMNyc718: What is your role over @ Koch Records?

Hunter: My role over at KOCH is on two levels. The first is thru movement marketing where Im the National Director of Street & Lifestyle Promotions for KOCH where I run the street teams and lifestyle account. The second is i do cross-over & mixshow radio promotions.

MMNyc718: What is your opinion about the state of hip hop?

Hunter: The state of hip-hop is a little crazy. And needs attention. The game has changed but not to worry the hip-hop has always had its up and downs

MMNyc718: What would be the first thing you would tell a up and coming artist trying to make a name for themselves?

Hunter: Planning and Identifyng. An artist has to identify with themselves, identify with the type of music they trying to put out and identifyng with there fans and audience. An artist has to create a plan and execute that plan. Use the plan like a checklist so u can see what was accomplished, what works what didnt work and make adjustments. Listen nobody in the music industry can do anything by themselves. Create a team, position your players and play your position as a part of the team.

MMNyc718:
In your opinion, who is the "GREATIEST" Emcee of all time?
Hunter:Well in the true essence of the word i would have to say Rakim, but TUPAC is the greatest he was simple but powerful.

I would like to take this time to say thank you very much to Ron Hunter for giving the MiddleManNyc718 the opportunity and time to answer a few questions. And to say to anyone logging into the blog and is looking to contact Ron hunter for business, his contact info is listed below

WHAT HAPPEN TO HIP HOP????

In this day and age the word or phrase "HIP HOP" really doesn't mean what it uses to mean for those that grew up listening to some of the "GREATS". I'm at a lost for words when it comes to what the "YOUNG" generation feels is the best "EMCEE" in this day and age; what we are listening to or "FORCED" to listen to is a crime with in itself. I just had this on my mind so i felt like putting my thoughts into a blog or something. .
