Madison Rocks (INTERVIEW)

MMNyc718: Where are you from Madison?

Madison: I am from South Side Jamaica Queens New York.

MMNyc718: When did you know you wanted to be a artist?

Madison: I knew that I wanted to be an artist since I was around 8. My brother had a rap group and I remember wanting to be like them.

MMNyc718: How long have you been homing your craft as a artist?

Madison: Well I have been homing my craft for a long time and everyday I learn something new to improve my artistic journey.

MMNyc718: Who or what are some of your biggest influences when it comes to your music?

Madison: My biggest influences I would have to say is My brother/manager Lovelace. Also my parents because both are true lovers of music.

MMNy718: How would you best describe your style of music? And is their a Genre that you want to be classified in?

Madison: I would have to describe my music as Alternative Rock/Rap. I don't believe that there is a Genre for my music which makes it more unique.

MMNyc718: What opportunities have been presented to you because you are an artist?

Madison: I have traveled in the states doing many shows. I have been offered to go overseas but I am so scared to fly that long lol!!!

MMNyc718: Who are some of the producers and artists you've worked with in the past? Who would you like to work with in the future?

Madison: I have worked with producers Rockwilder (Jay-Z, Janet Jackson etc), Teddy Riley ( Michael Jackson, Black Street, etc) Alan Plotkin (Rock Producer). I would like to work with Jonathan Davis (Korn), Travis Barker, David Banner, Tommy Lee, and Linkin Park.

MMNyc718: Do you prefer being a artist or being a song writer for other artist?

Madison: I prefer both actually. Writing for other artist gives me a chance to be a lot more creative for another person and then there is nothing like being an artist. When I hit that stage or booth the feeling is like no other.

MMNyc718: Can you give a brief rundown of your resume?

Madison: Well in the late 90's I opened up for many artist like Lil Kim, Mase, Biggie, etc. In 98 I won B.E.T's Teen Summit Talent showcase out of 6,000 other artist. I also did freestyle friday on B.E.T 106 in Park and was the winner for a couple of weeks. I have performed at Crash Mansion NYC, S.O.B's NYC, and other spots out of state. I have so much more info but you said brief soooo lol. This is just a little taste of my resume.

MMNyc718: How can people find music, articles, downloads, and or whatever info on Madison?

Madison:They can find my material at www.myspace.com/madisonrocks2http://www.myspace.com/madisonrocks2> . My bio, music video, music, and other info is on there.

MMNyc718: When should we expect a album from you?

Madison: God willing very soon. I don't want to say a date because this music biz is nuts so like I said God willing very very soon lol.

The MiddleManNyc718 would like to thank Madison and Lovey of SisBro Entertainment for giving me the opportunity to ask a few questions and answering them. Thanks again and I appreciate it very much for the opportunity............
